About Dekona
Dekona keeps a family's care in one place everyone who helps can see.
About 63 million Americans are coordinating care for someone they love (AARP/NAC 2025). They do it across a dozen patient portals, a folder of discharge papers, and a group chat that never sleeps. Every system they touch was built for an institution. Dekona is built for them.
What Dekona does
Dekona pulls a family's medical records together with the family's permission, keeps medications and appointments in one place, shows what changed, and tells the right person what needs them today. When the worst day comes, the ER packet is one tap. Everyone in the Care Circle (family, a care manager, anyone helping) sees the same picture. Nothing lives in one person's head.
Dekona organizes and coordinates. It does not diagnose, and it is not a substitute for your clinicians. It makes sure the people and information around your clinicians actually connect.
Why Dekona exists
I spent twenty years building the systems healthcare runs on, for hospitals, insurers, and health companies. I know how a claim gets denied, why a discharge summary never reaches the next doctor, and what happens to a refill when a prescriber changes. I built a lot of what works in those systems, and I saw up close everything that doesn't.
Here is what all of it has in common: every one of those systems ends at the institution's door. Whatever falls past that door lands on a family. I watched people I care about carry a parent's care with no tools at all, juggling portals, bills, and discharges nobody prepared them for, while trying to hold jobs and raise kids. The people who most need to focus on a loved one's healing are the ones expected to hold the whole system together from a kitchen table.
Dekona is the first thing I've built for the family's side of the door. The company is named OneToLive because both people in a caregiving relationship only get one life, and caregiving shouldn't consume them both.

The team behind Dekona
Dekona is built by the team at OneToLive, Inc. in Tampa. The people who build it are the people who answer your questions and help your family get set up. Every release starts from what a caregiver has to get done, and nothing ships that we wouldn't put our names on.
How we build
- Permission is the product. The person receiving care knows who sees what, and can change their mind in under a minute. Every access is logged.
- Records stay theirs. We never sell data. Families can export or delete their information at any time.
- Built to HIPAA safeguards. Encrypted in transit and at rest, with signed business associate agreements.
- Honest limits. Dekona coordinates care. It doesn't practice medicine, and it says so everywhere it operates. How we measure
For the professionals in a family's corner
Care managers, pharmacists, discharge planners, physicians: Dekona makes the families you serve easier to help. A family can bring their records gathered in one place, the medicines on record with where each one came from, and their history in order, instead of a folder and a guess. Nobody shares passwords, and nobody logs in as the patient: the family invites you to their Care Circle, access is scoped, and every permission change is recorded.
