Is this message from Dekona real?
If you got an email about Dekona, this page explains what it is and how to check it. Take your time. There is nothing you have to do on this page.
Dekona will never call, text or email you asking for your Social Security number, a password or payment details.
Who usually sends the message
Most messages about Dekona start with someone in your family. A son, a daughter, a spouse or another relative set up Dekona to help keep track of your care. The message says who they are.
You can check with that person
You can call that person and ask if they sent it. That’s a good idea. Use a phone number you already have for them, not one from the message.
What saying yes does
Some messages ask for your permission. Saying yes lets the person who asked see your health information in Dekona, like your medicines, visits and records. Nothing is shared with the person asking until you say yes. If you weren’t expecting the request, you can ignore it.
Some messages tell you about a change that already happened, for example that a family member shared their access with another relative. If that is what you want, you don’t need to do anything.
If a request asks you to show who you are, you do that on a secure web page you open from the button in the message. Nobody from Dekona will ask you for it on the phone.
You can change your mind later. You can remove someone’s access, or ask us to help.
