When someone you cared for dies
We’re sorry. There is no rush with any of this. This page covers the few things families usually ask us about, and you can write to us at any point.
Stopping the plan
If you pay for a Dekona plan, open Membership in the Dekona menu and choose Manage card, invoices and cancellation. You can cancel the plan there.
Only the person who pays for the plan sees that button. If that was the person who died, or you can’t get into the account, write to support@dekona.care and we will help.
Keeping a copy of the records
For probate, insurance or your own files, you can download a copy of what is in Dekona. Open Settings and choose Request Data Export. We email you when the download is ready. It can take up to 30 days.
Access that rested on their permission
Much of the access in Dekona rests on the permission of the person receiving care. Dekona does not change that access on its own when someone dies.
Write to support@dekona.care and we will help you step by step: who keeps access, what is removed, and what you would like to keep.
Write to us
Email support@dekona.care. Tell us your name and the name of the person who died, so we can find the right family. You don’t need to have anything ready before you write.
