Home for the holidays

While you are together, make a little room for the care paperwork.

You are finally in the same room, and there are things you hoped to ask about. The visit is also dinner, old stories and time together—not an appointment to inspect someone’s medicine cabinet.

For a parent, spouse or sibling, or your own care. Inviting someone to the Care Circle is free.

You can offer one useful piece of help without making the whole visit about care. Asking what the person wants help with—and accepting the answer—is a better starting point than collecting everything.

Where Dekona can help

Bring one agreed piece of the paperwork home with you.

01

Start with one useful paper

With permission, photograph or upload an existing care document. Review important details rather than treating a bottle photo as confirmation of current treatment.

02

Let the person choose

Record connections require authorization. Being together can help with a conversation, but the person should be free to decline or change their mind.

03

Continue after the visit

Invite chosen helpers and keep questions with their sources. The live free week starts when the care space is created.

Illustrative handoff · Invented people and excerpts

Morgan is visiting their friend Robin for a holiday weekend.

Sample visit preparation note

Robin would like help finding a recent visit summary.

Shared coordination note

Morgan will gather the authorized copy and leave record connections for a separate decision.

  • The visit summary Robin wants help locating
  • Morgan’s agreement to gather an authorized copy
  • Record connections left for a separate choice

What becomes clearer

One document can be a starting point. Agreeing to help with a paper does not authorize a record connection.

Morgan can help with the chosen paper and leave the next decision to Robin. Permission to photograph a document is not permission to connect a health system or invite other people.

An explanatory example, not a generated record or treatment instruction.

Before you begin

A few good questions.

Should I collect photos before asking?

Use information you are authorized to share and respect the person’s wishes. A family relationship or a holiday visit does not grant record access.

When does the free week start?

In the live product it starts when the care space is created. This private review creates no account or trial. The ER packet, care map and invitations stay free after a trial.

Who can see care information?

A referral or family relationship does not grant record access. Record connections and invitations require appropriate authority and scoped permission. Dekona does not contact doctors or pharmacies for you and does not replace your clinicians.
